Take the last Byte…

So here I am writing the last introduction for my last issue of Bytes. This was supposed to be given as a parting gift to everyone in the class of BSIT-4C after graduation. But due to unexpected circumstances (busy and life) it was not done. But like they say, its better late than never. Parang kailan lang nang isulat ko ang introduction in my very first Byte magazine. It was during my first year in college when I thought of writing a magazine that contains stories, articles, poems anything that will express our imagination and showcase our talents through the booklet. My former classmates were very supportive and willingly submitted their piece mapa poem man or articles or kahit mga saloobin lang na gusto nilang i-express.

When I had to stop school due to my surgical operation, the magazine also stop of course ako pasimuno nun, then I came back but now with another new batch of classmates. At first akala ko hindi ko sila makaksundo its because they were younger than me. But then later on I found this new group interesting ang soon I started to make my second Bytes issue containing the stories and expressions from this new group. As expected they were supportive and had appreciated my work. And also it was during this time when I started writing the Infotekia story.

Speaking of Infotekia, the title was derived from the words “info tech” (Information Technology) which was our course in college. It tells the story of our experiences with our subjects, teachers, classmates and our selves during our days in college.

So just like before, Bytes no. 3 contains the messages from everyone in the class in “pinahiping pagbati” portion of this book and also an article about famous lines and expression of certain members of the class. I also inserted some jokes and pictures.

So I hope you enjoy reading the contents of this last offering of Bytes. Until we meet again…

BSIT-4Censeless facts

Limketkai Mall ang madalas na hang-out or pampalipas oras pagkatapos ng klase.

Lahat sa BSIT 4C class ay gumagamit ng cheats sheets tuwing nag i-exam sa CNAP class.

Halos lahat sa klase ay pasang-awa ang grades sa CNAP ang iba INC pa.

Si Ryan at Francis ang tinatawag na “Kuya” sa klase. “Piguin” and tawag kay Alvin.

Si Zebert ang representative ng klase at sya rin madalas ang treasurer at secretary kapag may mga events.

Si kuya Franz ang madalas pasimuno ng mga “outing events” ng klase.

Si Ryan ang ace ng klase pagdating sa programming subject.

Halos ang buong klase ang dumayo sa bahay ni kuya Franz noong gumagawa ng CI-2 project.

Si sir Desiderio “Bong” Apag III ang favorite instructor na halos ituring nang class advisor ng klase.

Si Ping-ping at GK ang mga unang naging mommy sa klase.

Copy, Paste and Edit ang pinaka favorite control sa keyboard at mouse ng mga tamad gumawa ng project at assignment sa klase.

“By hook or by crook” ang favorite motto ni Sheila Kwan.

Lahat sa klase ay may Friendster account.

Madalas tulala or tulog sa klase si Bernie. At Most hated person sa klase ay si Chuck.

Sakit ng ulo ng mga instructors and BSIT 4C dahil sa kanilang kalokohan hehehe.

WATS DA WORD?

Mga pulong nga misulpot ug milugwa sa mga matatabil nga mga dila sa mga studyante sa info tech. Mga sinultian nga naa or walay klaro nga kahulugan nga basta na lamang nasulti ug nadunggan sa mga bagang leps sa mga estyudents.

Gi-Atar!: Greggy’s version of “gi-atay” a pamalikas word expressed when he gets upset or shocked. Ex. “Gi-atar bai! Sayupa nako uy!”

.Char!: A synonym word for Wow, expressed when a person gets surprised or to make an appreciation or disagree on an idea.

Ex. A: “guys I look so pretty” B: “Char”!

Robot: One of the expressions that can be heard from Roda. Synonym for “Bot-bot” or if one disagree on an idea which one thinks is not true.Ex. A: “I’ve been to the moon” B: “oh really? Robot kaayo ka”
Baaang!: A prolonged “Bang”, expressed when you think an idea or statement is stupid or impossible.Ex. A: “magbakasyon ta’g hongkong?” B: “Baaaaang!!!”

Nose Bleed: An expression for something nga dili ma-reach sa imong intelligence. Also if someone states an unfamiliar word or if someone speaks in English. Ex. “As in, nag nosebleed ko sa lesson ganina grabe ka lisod sabton english kaayo ”

Kaila Kag: An expression to introduce or remind something or asking if your familiar of something. Ex. “I-uli nang imong gikawat, kaila kag barang?”

Oyoy! Yoy!: It was first heard from Pangkoy that simply means “Hoy! Hoy!” or “hey! Hey!” Ex. “Oyoy yoy! Asa man ang bag diri?”

Wala ni: An expression for if something that has no clear idea or a plan that was not pusued or canceled because of some circumstances. Ex. A: “guys the plan has change we will not be goin today” B: “ what? Dili ta madayon? Wala ta ani… wala ni”

Eih: The only person known for this expression is Leizl . Ex. “ Eih, Kuya buhaton na nato atong project bah”

Loading: If a person is dugay maka gets sa unsa ang topic sa storya or if dili ka gets sa punch line sa joke.Ex. A: “taympa wala ko ksabot unsa gani to ang plano?”

B: “ nah! Loading man diay ka uy”

Dili kai: It really means the opposite of its meaning “ Mao kai” or yes. If one doubts on an idea but you know its right.Ex. A: “Ingana ba diay?” B: “Dili Kai?”

Its been a good start for us. As I observed, malipayon tang tanan(of course) k hapit nata mu graduate and makapaso na jud! But there are more challenges to come before we reach the peak of the mountain. Tinabanga lang ta guys para sa atin ang huling halakhak. Anyway, all I want to ask from yon guys is respect to everyone. We can’t please anybody so respetuhan lang nato girl, Also, be sensitive, dili tanan ma applyan sa inyung jokes kasabot so pasensya nalang mu. And lastly, ayaw mu pagdumot kung naa may kasakit sa mga klasmates! Forgive nd forget to have a healthy lifestyle. OK!!! Till next time!!!
